Lets take a closer look at the private entrance, the yard and garden that surrounds this spacious one bedroom holiday rental suite.

Front Entrance & Balcony

At the end of our interlocking bricked driveway is your own private entrance to this exclusive, self-contained one bedroom rental suite. It's private front entrance is on ground level on the far right beside the garage and main house. The suite is on the second level and separate from the rest of the house.

Viewed from the landscaped front yard, the suite's private, second-story balcony captures the morning sun.

Pond from Above

Our pond is surrounded by lovely plants, statues and a bench where you can rest and enjoy the tranquility of the setting. You can relax and watch the fish in the daylight or slip on a sweater and enjoy the many lights scattered througout the garden. It is a true fairyland of lights at night.

Backyard pond

This restful pond is adorned with tasteful statues as well as lush greenery.
The frog at the edge of the pond has grown into the garden with creeping thyme growing over his back.

Our pond is surrounded by mature vegetation to create a peaceful and sheltered atmosphere.

A separate small guest cottage is nestled in our back garden, and can be viewed from the rental suite.

The firepit at the edge of the cottage patio is fuelled by propane and is nice to sit around even when it gets cooler.

The tiered deck in front of guest cottage offers another place to enjoy the view of the back garden.

We woiuld be happy to supply a barbeque down down on the lower deck for guests if they want to have the use of one for an occasional dinner.

There is a statue in the garden of a lady playing the violin. She looks just like Lorraine's Mom (who also plays the violin) when she was younger. Her name is Joyce.

Hot Tub

The hot tub is there for your pleasure if you let us know ahead of time that you will be using it. Sometimes we use it and want to be sure that you have complete privacy should you decide to go in. We also require that you sign a liability waiver before use.

Zen Garden

The Zen garden has oriental figurines and pots, and is filled with a variety of grasses and climbing plants.

A dragon and a Foo Dog plus pagoda lights help adorn the Zen garden.

This garden bed adds further color and interest to our back yard.

Herb Garden

We grow a variety of herbs in pots behind the grapevines.
You are welcome to raid this garden if you need fresh herbs for your meals.

Yard & Garden

Our spacious one bedroom vacation rental suite is self-contained, private, and located on the second level, entirely separate from our family living area. This rental suite has views of the yard and gardens on all 4 sides. It truly is a step above!

The garden is lovingly tended and very lush, filled with many native and semi-tropical plants. This includes pear, apple and plum trees that offer shade on a hot day. A grape arbor supports grape vines growing beside the wisteria which hangs over the hot tub area. Behind the grapevines is a large herb garden which you are welcome to raid if you need fresh herbs for your meals.

The peaceful pond has an inviting bench beside it, ideal for a quiet interlude during the day or evening. The pond has shy little goldfish swimming around. You may be lucky enough to catch them as they eat.

Featured in our pictures is an extra guest small cottage with a deck and propane firepit. Next to that is our own Zen garden, with a variety of plants that are pretty in various shades of green and red.

The front driveway is interlocking brick and it leads to the suite's own private entrance. With your security in mind, the door has a keyless entry system. You will be given your own new code when you arrive.
